A Jet2 aircraft en route to Lanzarote was forced to land abruptly due to what appeared to be an avian strike.
This morning, flight LS217 departed Leeds Bradford Airport; however, shortly after that, it was rerouted to Manchester “as a precautionary measure.”
The airline verified that the aircraft “taxied to stand as usual” after a safe landing.

Customers are being transferred to a replacement aircraft to resume their journey, according to a Jet2 spokesperson.
