Khayri McLean, a 15-year-old, was apprehended for the murder of a Huddersfield schoolboy.

A 15-year-old kid was detained in Huddersfield in connection with the death of student Khayri McLean.

He is the second individual arrested as police investigate the stabbing death of the 15-year-old outside his school.

Police in West Yorkshire stated: “Police in Huddersfield who are investigating the murder of 15-year-old Khayri McLean have arrested a second juvenile in connection with the crime.

“Yesterday, the 15-year-old was arrested and is currently in detention. Yesterday, a 16-year-old male was detained and remains in detention.

“Officers from West Yorkshire Police’s homicide and major inquiry team (HMET) are continuing to investigate the stabbing death of Khayri on Wednesday on Huddersfield’s Woodhouse Hill.”
