A spokesperson for the Probation Service stated on Sunday, “We are urgently working with the police to return the offender to jail, where he will serve a longer sentence.”

Sylvestre was recalled to prison for violating the terms of his parole.

The acid attack on Ms. Piper resulted in horrifying injuries that left her forever scarred.

After her obsessive ex-boyfriend Daniel Lynch arranged for Sylvestre to pour the corrosive liquid at her in March 2008, she was left battling for her life.
