Four dead in single-vehicle crash near Armagh, police say

At the location on Ballynahonemore Road, the driver and three occupants of a Volkswagen Golf were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police report that a single-vehicle collision in Armagh, Northern Ireland, has claimed the lives of four individuals.

This morning at approximately 2:10 a.m., a collision occurred on Ballynahonemore Road involving a grey Volkswagen Golf.

At the site, the driver and three passengers, whose identities remain unknown at this time, were pronounced deceased.

Superintendent Paul McGrattan, district commander, remarked, “This is an unspeakable tragedy for the affected families and the greater community, which will struggle to comprehend the magnitude of the loss of life.”

“Police are currently stationed at the location, and Ballynahonemore Road will be closed for the majority of the day,” he continued.

The accident was characterised as “devastating” by DUP leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson in a post on X.
