At approximately 7:00 a.m. today, the Hainault neighborhood in northeast London received reports that a man armed with a sword had attacked members of the public.

Four individuals are hospitalized and a 14-year-old boy has lost his life in a stabbing attack in northeast London.

At approximately 7:00 a.m., reports surfaced that a 36-year-old man was threatening members of the public while brandishing a sword. In response, the police were dispatched to the scene.

Personnel were entangled in the commotion as well in Hainault, northeast London, near the Tube station.

In addition, the man allegedly collided with a residence in the adjacent Thurlow Gardens before stabbing several individuals and being apprehended, according to the police.

The London Ambulance Service reported transporting five individuals to the hospital from the scene, including the 14-year-old lad.

Local law enforcement chief superintendent Stuart Bell verified the adolescent’s death in an update this afternoon.

“He was sadly transported to the hospital shortly after being stabbed and passed away thereafter,” he stated.

Initially assisted by my local officers and now by a few specialized officers, the child’s family is in the thoughts of every member of the Metropolitan Police during this indescribably trying time.

Additionally, he verified that two additional members of the public were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Two officers sustained “significant” but non-life-threatening injuries and will require surgery, according to the police superintendent.

The individual was apprehended by officers 22 minutes after the initial dispatch of emergency services.

At the site, eyewitnesses reported seeing an individual receive CPR and hearing screams.

A video captured a male charging several residential properties while brandishing a substantial sword.

The police further stated that they did not believe it to be a terrorist attack or a targeted assault, and they were investigating the incident to determine its circumstances.

This afternoon, after the press conference, Ch Supt Stuart Bell declined to comment on inquiries regarding the suspect’s prior arrest record.

According to him, police yelled at the suspect to drop the sword after confronting him, before Tasering and “piling on top of” him to apprehend him.

As she hid by her window, another resident reported seeing a corpse on the ground, while a man armed with a sword questioned, “Do you believe in God?” outside her residence.

The unnamed witness stated, “He was attempting to attack the police with his sword when they shot him, at which point he fled.

He was yelling “Do you believe in God?” to both the police and the ambulance.

We were terrified and desperately attempted to conceal ourselves through the window, as he was standing directly in front of our home and could have seen us had he glanced up.

We were filming the police as he attacked us and the body on the ground while attempting to conceal ourselves; therefore, we were terrified and unsure of what to do.

The King has requested that those affected be kept apprised of the situation and has conveyed his condolences.
