China seeks to increase its military ties with Pakistan.

The vice chairman of China’s Central Military Commission stated on Wednesday that China is willing to work with Pakistan’s military. Its to deepen and expand cooperation, and jointly protect regional peace and stability.

Zhang Youxia remarked during a meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir in Beijing, the Chinese defense ministry was quoted as saying by Reuters.

The army leader’s four-day official visit to China began with an honour guard at the People’s Liberation Army HQ. According to a press release issued by the military’s media affairs branch. He inspected the well-dressed contingent which was followed by an in-depth meeting with the PLA Army Commander.

Gen Munir and the commander of the Chinese army discussed matters about their respective security interests and military cooperation.

Inter-Services Public Relations reported that in addition to discussing mutual security interests, both military commanders emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region and enhancing military-to-military cooperation.

Additionally, General Munir witnessed a display of the operational capabilities of the PLA Army soldiers. He lauded the PLA soldiers’ exceptional training and professionalism.

The statement says the COAS will meet with Chinese military authorities to deepen ties.
