The tweet was published as local sheriffs provided an update on their investigation into the New Year’s Day event.

Officials emphasized that they do not believe the 51-year-old was drunk and that the incident was a tragic accident.

Sheriff Darin Balaam stated that Renner was being a “good neighbor” at the time of the event by helping to clear roadways in his Reno. Nevada community that had become flooded during a severe winter storm.

According to him, the actor realized his vehicle was stuck in the snow. So he went to retrieve his 14,330-pound (6,500-kilogram) “PistenBully” plow to pull it out.
