Ms. Gibson asserts that Derulo “maliciously” promised her success and fame through a collaborative venture involving his record label Future History and Atlantic Records. According to court documents, she was required to release a mixtape within four months and an album within six months, featuring one of her singles with Derulo.

However, she claims that he coerced her into socializing by using excessive alcohol as leverage.

The lawsuit alleges that Derulo once demanded her involvement in a sexual ritual called “goat skin fish scales,” which involved a sacrificial goat and cocaine, in exchange for success. This demand is described as an “explicit demand for sex.”

The lawsuit names Derulo, his manager Frank Harris, Atlantic Records, RCA Records, and Future History.
