James Morrison’s wife was found dead

On Friday, the body of Gill Catchpole, who shared the singer’s two daughters, was discovered in her residence.

The late Gill Catchpole was the spouse of the musician James Morrison.

On Friday, the body of Ms. Catchpole, who shared the singer with two daughters aged 15 and five, was discovered in her Whitminster, Gloucester, residence.

Gloucestershire Constabulary stated: “Police were dispatched to Whitminster, Gloucester, at approximately 9:10 a.m. on Friday, January 5, in response to resident welfare concerns.

“Upon officers’ arrival, they discovered the remains of a woman in her forties within an address.”

At this time, authorities are evaluating the fatality as non-suspicious.

The coroners and the woman’s next of kin have been notified.

Approximately twenty years passed between the two individuals. They became acquainted when Ms. Catchpole became a lodger at Morrison’s mother’s residence.

He had previously described his encounter with Ms. Catchpole as a “fairytale” and attempted to win her over by “serenading” her to Stevie Wonder songs.

The 39-year-old Morrison’s compositions, “You Give Me Something” and “Broken Strings,” are his most well-known.

Two of his four albums have peaked at number one. In 2007, he also received the Brit Award for Best British Male.

The musician disclosed in 2015 that he retired from music for three years following the deaths of his father, brother, and nephew.
