In the recent week’s counterattack in the Kharkiv region, Ukrainian forces outnumbered Russian forces by a ratio of eight to one, according to the highest Russian occupation official in the area.

Vitaly Ganchev stated on Russian television that the Ukrainian army had captured northern villages and advanced to the Russian border.

In a potential breakthrough in the six-month war, Ukraine has regained control over 3,000 square kilometers (1,158 square miles) of terrain, according to official reports.

In its ongoing north-eastern counteroffensive, the Ukrainian military claims to have recaptured twenty villages in the past twenty-four hours alone.

The victories of the Ukrainian army, according to British defense officials, will have “major repercussions” for Russia’s entire operational architecture.

Russia has been accused of targeting civilian infrastructure in retaliation for military losses.

Sunday, Moscow retaliated with a barrage of missile attacks over Ukraine, resulting in power outages.

According to reports, millions of people in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions were affected by the outages. According to the mayor of Kharkiv, power has been restored.

Ihor Terekhov described it as a cruel and cynical attempt at revenge for the recent accomplishments of the Ukrainian army.

Ukraine’s Defense Minister, Oleksii Reznikov, stated that securing the territorial gains won over a week of quick advances in the Kharkiv region was now the top priority.

As it withdrew from regions it had occupied from the beginning of the war, the Russian army appeared to have abandoned enormous quantities of equipment and ammunition.

According to rumors, a Russian battle tank manufacturer has resorted to “round-the-clock” production following these setbacks.

According to reports, workers at Uralvagonzavod in Nizhny Tagil, Russia’s largest armored vehicle manufacturer, were not permitted to take vacation due to “production necessity.”
