“Affected customers should be able to utilise their 3G/4G/5G services at this time,” they continued.

The internet service provider’s ‘patchy’ service infuriated numerous consumers on social media.

A similar service interruption earlier this week rendered hundreds of Sky broadband users unable to connect to the internet for five hours, preceding today’s outages.

As per Down Detector’s findings, the interruption potentially originated yesterday evening, as over 200 users have reported encountering service interruptions.

The number of outage reports decreased overnight while consumers slept, but increased dramatically this morning at 9:09 am BST to 267.

The Sky Help Team verified the issues in a post on X at 8:42 am BST, stating, “We are aware that certain Sky Mobile customers are encountering difficulties with their 3G/4G/5G services.”

Our investigation is underway, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

A Sky Mobile representative stated at the time, “We are cognizant of the fact that certain Sky Mobile customers might be encountering complications with their data services.”

As of 11:01 am BST, the number of reports of connection issues on Down Detector has decreased to a mere 18.

Numerous consumers were indignantly affected by the service interruption that occurred this morning.

One irate Sky customer wrote on X, formerly Twitter: “Sky Mobile is down once more!” Why has service been so inconsistent this week, @SkyHelpTeam?!’

Sky Mobile has experienced its second outage of the week. “When do you anticipate this to be resolved, if possible?” inquired another.

Individuals whose work required the internet or who operated from home were especially hindered by the inconvenient scheduling of the outage.

“Unlock your financial potential with free Webull shares in the UK.”

One commenter on X stated, “Sky Mobile is offline in Leeds.”

“I have a phone that becomes inoperable if I disconnect it from Wi-Fi, and I have an upcoming work appointment.”

Someone else added, “Sky Mobile is also offline today, so I cannot be reached if I am not connected to the office WiFi.”

A total of 68% of respondents indicated that they were encountering difficulties with their internet connection, whereas 26% reported problems with their mobile phones.

Additionally, the problems seemed to have impacted a negligible proportion of Sky TV subscribers, as 5% of reports on Down Detector attributed the issue to television services.

While the service disruptions affected the entire nation, reports from Down Detector indicate that local disruptions may have occurred at distinct moments.

It appeared that the most severe disruption to internet services occurred in Manchester yesterday evening, whereas London experienced a more significant impact this morning.
