Jennifer Aniston has paid tribute to her late father, actor John Aniston, describing him as “one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever known”

John Aniston was a veteran of the United States Navy and the Emmy-winning star of the daytime serial opera Days of Our Lives.

Jennifer, star of Friends, penned a heartfelt tribute to her father on Instagram “John Anthony Aniston said, “Dear father…” You were one of the most attractive people I had ever met.

“I am so grateful that your ascent into the sky was peaceful and painless. And on 11/11, Armistice Day and Veterans Day in the United States! You’ve always had impeccable timing.

This number will forever hold a higher significance for me.

John Aniston was born Yannis Anastassakis in Crete, Greece, and moved to Pennsylvania as a child with his family.

His most recognizable role was Victor Kiriakis on Days of Our Lives, although he also appeared on Search for Tomorrow, The West Wing, and Gilmore Girls.

In 2017, he was nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for outstanding supporting actor in a drama series for his portrayal of Victor. John received the Daytime Emmy for lifetime achievement for his participation in the show earlier this year.

John also had a son, Alexander, with his second wife, Sherry Rooney, in addition to Jennifer, whom he had with his first wife and fellow actress Nancy Dow.
