Coleen Rooney won’t forgive Wagatha Rebecca Vardy

Coleen Rooney Opens Up About “Horrible” “Wagatha Christie” Case
Rooney Stands by Claims Against Rebekah Vardy Despite Court VerdictVardy Responds to Rooney’s Interview, Urges Moving On from the Matter

Coleen Rooney has described the “Wagatha Christie” prosecution as “horrible” in her first public comments regarding the case.

In an interview with British Vogue, she implied that she could not forgive Rebekah Vardy for her libel claim, but stated that “the relief was everything” to triumph.

Rooney, the wife of the former captain of England, accused Vardy of disseminating stories about her.

Vardy criticized the High Court decision that deemed the comments to be “substantially true.”

In an interview for the September issue of Vogue, Rooney revealed that she “dreads” going to court and that she “stands by” the original claims.

When asked if she could absolve Vardy, who is married to her husband’s former teammate Jamie Vardy, she responded, “I’m a forgive-and-forget type of person…

“However, this is manifestly different.”

Rooney, 37, continued: “You see social media users calling individuals out in such a vicious manner, and I thought I wasn’t that vicious.

“I’ve never been in a court case before, so it was terrifying for me.

What an awful experience!

“Not a sight to behold”
She also criticized Vardy, 41, for bringing the matter to court, but expressed sympathy for what she was “obviously experiencing.”

“All I could think was ‘Why have you put yourself in this position?'” “It was unpleasant to observe,” Rooney said.

The July 2022 trial followed Rooney’s 2019 sting operation accusing Mrs. Vardy of disclosing confidential information to The Sun.

The detective work sparked a social media frenzy and led to the case being dubbed “Wagatha Christie” – a reference to Wags (footballers’ spouses and girlfriends) and the author Agatha Christie.

Vardy has always rejected the charges but was expected to pay Rooney’s legal bills after the judgement estimated £1.5 million.

After posting the infamous “It’s………Rebekah Vardy’s account” allegation, Rooney told Vogue that she took her son Kai indoor skydiving.

Then, “her phone exploded”

All of these messages of support were arriving… Then I thought, “Oh my God, this is ridiculous!”

And she stated, “The relief was everything” following the verdict.

When asked about her former relationship with Vardy, Rooney stated that the two would “associate” but were not companions and did not socialize. She speculates that invitations to events may have been part of a “plan to get closer to me”

Vardy responded to Rooney’s interview on Instagram: “I don’t get why you keep bringing it up. Now it’s dull!

“Neither the public nor I are interested. She triumphed, and that’s that!

“Be happy and move on… because I know I have.”
