Tsingtao beer worker urinated in tank after fight

  • Employee urinates in beer tank
  • Viral video and detention
  • Tsingtao takes measures

It has been revealed that a Chinese employee urinated into a Tsingtao beer receptacle following a dispute with a coworker.

Incident Captured on Camera

A month ago, footage captured an employee urinating into a tank that was utilised to store ingredients for a highly regarded beverage in China.

The video then gained tens of millions of views on social media platforms before it went viral.

The employee was subsequently detained, according to an official report.

The factory is situated in the city of Pingdu. Pingdu authorities discovered that the employee in question was assisting in the unloading of malt containers from a vehicle during the incident.

The city said on Weibo that Cui and a lorry driver argued about moving the car.

Mr. Cui subsequently ascended into the empty container and defecated into it.

The driver recorded Mr. Cui’s antics and uploaded them to Douyin, China’s TikTok.

Brewery’s Response and Measures

Tsingtao published a statement on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo in which he stated that the employee had been placed in administrative detention on account of property damage.

Administrative detention is a punitive measure that may be imposed by the police in China, without judicial supervision. Offenders are usually imprisoned for five to fifteen days and fined or warned.

Tsingtao added that the employee was a third-party service provider for the brewery.

The brewer further stated that in order to prevent similar incidents in the future, they have implemented a number of measures to enhance quality control and increase employee behaviour monitoring.

They further pledged to address what they termed “deficiencies in the oversight of raw material transportation management” and declared that the tainted malt quantities have been sealed and will not be reintroduced into production.
