Police fatally shoot 16-year-old after suspected terrorist stabbing

  • Sydney stabbing linked to previous terror-related charges
  • Police fatally shoot 16-year-old involved in alleged terrorist attack
  • No ongoing threat perceived by authorities after the incident

Following the stabbing of a bishop in Sydney last month, an additional adolescent and six others were charged with terror-related offenses. This incident follows those charges.

A sixteen-year-old boy was fatally shot by police in Australia after he wounded a man in the back during an alleged terrorist attack.

The adolescent reported to Perth police on Saturday night that he intended to carry out violent acts without specifying his location or identity.

A man in his thirties was wounded with a kitchen knife; a member of the public notified police of the incident in the parking lot.

The application of Tasers by three officers to the youth did not subdue him.

A solitary gunshot killed him as he charged officers.

Premier Roger Cook of Western Australia stated, “There are indications he was radicalized online,” adding that the assailant appeared to have operated alone.

Police and intelligence agencies think that no ongoing threat exists, according to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

Australia is a nation that values peace; violent extremism has no place here, he wrote on X.
