What Moscow attack footage reveals about its execution

  • Attackers stormed Crocus City Hall, Moscow, killing at least 133
  • Videos reveal brutal assault, crowd trying to flee scene
  • Putin blames Ukraine; suspects allegedly aimed to escape there

A group of assailants attacked the Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk on Friday evening.

A portion of the capacity of the venue, situated to the northwest of central Moscow, was occupied prior to the concert, which was sold out.

As of Saturday evening, there have been reports of a minimum of 133 fatalities.

An account of the assault, as captured on video, provides valuable insight into its execution.

Prosecutors probably entered the complex approximately 130 metres to the north of the vestibule of the concert hall.

Visible in the footage captured at this location are severed corpses and a set of glass exterior doors. It appears that at least eight individuals have perished in this region.

A second video, captured from an elevated walkway, depicts the assailants making their way towards the vestibule entrance of the establishment. To the left, a group of individuals can be seen attempting to find cover.

The assailants approach and open fire from a close distance. Subsequently, they breach a series of glass doors and gain access to the foyer.

Shortly after that, footage captured the assailants making their way south via the foyer. As he moves, one of the attackers can be seen reloading his weapon.

Numerous individuals are seen on concert hall-captured videos endeavouring to evacuate via the venue’s stage and rear exits.

Soon after, what appears to be footage of four gunmen opening fire on the crowd from a seating area just below the first-floor balcony surfaced.

Although the quality of the footage is inadequate to differentiate between deceased, injured, and otherwise immobile individuals in every instance, a significant number of individuals seem to have been murdered within the auditorium.

One of the gunmen is observed travelling to the south of the room as the other three continue to discharge their weapons. Immediately after he exits the frame, something ignites in the vicinity.

A fire is momentarily visible at the adjacent exit.

In an Instagram video recounting the incident, one survivor stated: “I do not know who burst into the hall; it could have been the military, terrorists, or individuals in brown attire. Regardless, they began firing automatic rifles at the people inside.

“It had been ignited… “There is smoke, smoke that extends as high as possible into the atmosphere.”

This corresponds to the figure reported by Russian authorities, which includes the apprehension of six additional individuals in relation to the incident.

Videos from March 23 illustrate the extent of the destruction inflicted upon the structure the previous evening.

One, which was shared by Russian authorities, captures emergency personnel entering the auditorium from the location from which the assailants fired upon the audience.

Significant portions of the structure’s roof have collapsed, and the entire vicinity is severely damaged by fire.

The Russian government has asserted that the attackers had the intention of escaping to Ukraine ever since the attack.

In a national address, Vladimir Putin levied accusations of conspiracy against the Ukrainian government, asserting that “a window was prepared for them to cross the border on the Ukrainian side.”

These claims remain unsubstantiated.

Although reports suggest that all of the suspects were apprehended in the southeastern region of Bryansk, there is currently no substantiated evidence that confirms their actual whereabouts.

Video footage that appears to show one of the suspected assailants being tortured by Russian authorities has surfaced since their arrests.

An individual is observed being restrained along Route E101 in the Bryansk Oblast.

Later footage shows the same individual, who has visible wounds on the side of his head, being led to the main road.

Settlers pillaged olive groves, vandalized automobiles, and abducted livestock for two weeks. A forced evacuation of approximately 200 Palestinian households from Tajamaa al-Murajaat, located in the Jordan Valley, resulted from the violence.
