According to the report, he was a “senior ISIS leader” who was “responsible for planning ISIS attacks in Europe” and “developing the leadership structure” for the terrorist organization.

So his death, according to CENTCOM officials, will “temporarily hinder the organization’s ability to plot external attacks.” It did not specify where in the nation the assault occurred.

The statement warned that “though degraded, the group retains the capacity to conduct operations in the region and the intent to strike beyond the Middle East.”

In 2014, Islamic State established an autonomous “caliphate” in Syria and Iraq. In late 2017, it was defeated following a campaign by the United States and its Western allies.

The United States has targeted senior Islamic State leaders to prevent the group from regaining momentum.

Hamza al-Homsi was slain in a helicopter attack last month, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi in February 2021, and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in October 2019.

The president of Georgia's veto of a divisive "foreign agent" law has ignited weeks of widespread street demonstrations. New ‘suction’ treatment might make IUDs nearly ‘pain-free’

A revolutionary cervical suction cup could soon render essentially painless the most excruciating method of contraception, which is utilized by millions of American women.  Women undertaking IUD insertion procedures have historically been subjected to the agony of having a metallic device resembling a pair of scissors stretched across their cervix.  Sharp hooks are used to stretch the cervix before inserting the T-shaped device, which prevents fertilization by blocking the sperm from reaching the egg.
