President Isaac Herzog of Israel thanked the King for his “important statement” that will “greatly comfort the people of Israel.”

Mr. Herzog’s office issued the following statement: “President Isaac Herzog spoke today with the King of the United Kingdom, King Charles III, who called to express his condolences and deep shock at the criminal and barbaric actions of the terrorist organization Hamas in its attack on the citizens of Israel.”

The statement stated, “They discussed the horrible crime and its execution extensively.

“The conversation between the two took place as part of a series of conversations the president has been holding on a daily basis with leaders from all over the world, including leaders of international organizations, and Jewish community leaders.”

The King is “appalled” by Israel’s “barbaric acts of terrorism” and wants to be “actively updated” on the war, according to Buckingham Palace.

The spokesman stated that the King has “everything on his mind” and “prayerfully considers those who are in suffering.”

Prince and Princess of Wales message on X, formerly Twitter: “We are gravely saddened by recent horrific events.

“The atrocities committed by Hamas in its terrorist assault against Israel are abhorrent; they condemn them categorically.”

“As Israel exercises its right to self-defense, all Israelis and Palestinians will be continued to be stalked by grief, fear, and anger in the time to come.”

In the aftermath of the Hamas attacks, the royal family has issued statements while British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly is in Israel to express “solidarity” with the United Kingdom.

Mr. Cleverly fled during air sirens in Ofakim.

Later, in a statement on X, he said, “Today I caught a glimpse of what millions of people endure on a daily basis.

“Hamas rockets continue to threaten every Israeli adult, woman, and child.”

“This is why we are standing shoulder to shoulder with Israel.”

According to the Israeli foreign ministry, the siren alerted the public to the approach of Hamas rocket fire.

Relationship of the King to Israel

The Prince of Wales made his first official visit to Israel and the OPT in 2020 as King.

It signified a visit of the greatest rank by a monarch to the territories of Israel and Palestine.

He paid his respects at the mausoleum of his grandmother, Princess Alice, who gained notoriety for providing sanctuary to Jews in Nazi-occupied Athens throughout the Second World War.

Gaza is without power due to conflicts.

Israel has resumed its aerial assault on Gaza in retaliation to Hamas’s unexpected assault on the nation over the weekend.

Israel is imposing a “total siege” on Gaza to block food, fuel, and medicine.

The city’s 2.3 million residents lost power due to its sole power station’s energy depletion.
