On Christmas Eve, Ms. Edwards, age 26, was fatally shot at the Lighthouse Inn in Wallasey Village, Wirral.

A 31-year-old man arrested Thursday on suspicion of murder conspiracy remains in prison, according to the police.

In the shooting, four guys were injured, one of whom is in severe condition.

According to investigators, Ms. Edwards was not the intended target of the attack.

Thursday, police published a video of one of the arrests.

The black-and-white recording depicts armed officers entering a residence on a quiet street before emerging with a suspect and placing them in a police vehicle.

Merseyside Police Deputy Chief Constable Ian Critchley stated on Wednesday that investigators were working “round the clock” to determine what occurred before, during, and after the incident.

He stated, “We have made tremendous gains forward, but I am requesting additional information.”

The death of Ms. Edwards has left her family “devastated” and “inconsolable,” according to the police.

They were dancing and enjoying a night out when, “in an instant,” everything changed.

Meg and Jess, who did not provide their last names, told that they mistook the gunshots they heard for fireworks until they spotted their friend laying on the ground.

Jess stated, “We went to get a drink and were at the bar when we heard loud bangs.”

Instantaneously upon hearing Elle, I said, “It’s not!”

I could see her on the ground with people attempting to assist her.

You feel hopeless, helpless, and helpless to do anything.

The sister of Ms. Edwards, who resides in Dubai, had departed the venue earlier.

“It plays on your mind, wondering if she should have gone home,” Meg said, adding, “We were dancing and singing, and she’s now on the floor.”
