Fifth guy arrested in Owami Davies’ disappearance; Met Police renew appeal.

A fifth man has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of student nurse Owami Davies, and the Metropolitan Police have renewed their plea for information one month after her last verified sighting.

The police have apprehended a total of five suspects, including two on suspicion of murder and three on suspicion of kidnapping.

The police have apprehended a total of five suspects, including two on suspicion of murder and three on suspicion of kidnapping.

On Saturday, a 27-year-old male was apprehended on suspicion of kidnapping.

Since their arrest, four of those detained have been released on bail.

Ms. Davies, 24 years old, was last seen early on July 7 while walking down Derby Road in West Croydon.

Additionally, police have been notified of a second, unverified sighting of Owami on 7 July. This occurred around 7 am on Croydon’s Clarendon Road.

She had left her Grays, Essex family home three days prior.

Detective Chief Inspector Nigel Penney, who is in charge of the inquiry, stated, “This is a complex continuing investigation involving a large number of officers.”

“As we continue our search for Owami, we are diligently pursuing every possible line of inquiry, including extensive CCTV scans.

“A month has passed since her last reported sighting. I cannot fathom how difficult this time has been for her family. We continue to offer them whatever assistance we can.

I am grateful for the public’s assistance thus far, but I must appeal to anyone with information – no matter how trivial they consider it to be – to contact us.

The Specialist Crime Command of the Metropolitan Police Department is handling the inquiry into what happened to Owami.
