Elle Edwards’ murderer appears in court.

A man has been charged with the murder of Elle Edwards, who was shot on Christmas Eve in a bar in Merseyside.

The 26-year-old cosmetologist was shot in the head while celebrating Christmas with friends at the Lighthouse Pub in Wallasey Village at approximately 23:50 GMT.

Connor Chapman, 22 years old, of no known address, appeared in court for the hearing.

He was remanded in custody until his Monday appearance at Liverpool Crown Court.

Mr. Chapman was also accused of:

  • Jake Duffy and Kieran Salkelds face two counts of attempted murder
  • Harry Loughran, Nicholas Speed, and Liam Carr face three counts of illegal and malicious wounding with the intent to cause serious bodily damage.
  • Intentional possession of a firearm with the purpose to harm life, using a modified Scorpion submachine gun

Weapons possession with intent to endanger life

All of these allegations pertain to the December 24 event.

Mr. Chapman, who has long hair and was wearing a grey tracksuit, was also charged with handling stolen property, a Mercedes A-Class automobile, between December 22 and December 26.

He merely spoke in court to affirm his name, birth date, and lack of a stable address.

Merseyside Police have released on bail a 23-year-old woman. Who was arrested on suspicion of helping a criminal, pending further investigation.

Tim Edwards, the deceased woman’s father, eulogized her by describing her as “the most beautiful and brilliant star.”

She was characterized as “the glue that kept together this large family.”

Everyone who met Elle recognized her uniqueness.
