A family was struck by a car in Kent, resulting in two fatalities and a major injury to a kid.

A family was struck by an automobile, resulting in the death of two people and the serious injury of one child.

A 30-year-old man from the seaside community of Ramsgate has been arrested on suspicion of causing death while driving recklessly and fleeing the scene of an accident.

Five linked pedestrians were struck by a black Alfa Romeo outside a multistory car park in Ramsgate, Kent, according to police.

A man in his eighties and a woman in her thirties died shortly after the event on Wednesday evening, while a young girl was brought to a London hospital for treatment.

A man in his forties and a child also suffered minor injuries.

A 30-year-old man from Ramsgate was detained on suspicion of causing death by driving recklessly and fleeing the scene of an accident.

He is being treated in the hospital for minor injuries.

Officers are conducting ongoing investigations into the event.

Witnesses, area businesses with CCTV, and drivers with relevant dashcam footage are asked to contact Kent Police at 01622 798538 and provide the reference number DS/DGC/090/22.
