The clothing line of Dame Deborah James raises £1 million for her Bowel Babe fund.

Through sales of her clothing line with In The Style, Dame Deborah James has raised £1,000,000 for cancer research.

The 40-year-old podcaster, known online as BowelBabe, posted a photo of herself posing with the brand’s founder Adam Frisby and his business partner Jamie Corbett next to a large check.

The collection, which was released in May, consists of t-shirts with the phrase “Rebellious Hope” across the chest, with proceeds going to her BowelBabe Fund for Cancer Research UK.

The fund has already received donations of over £6.7 million.

Dame Deborah, who is receiving end-of-life care at home, posted the following message on Instagram: “WOW!! ONE MILLION POUNDS. I am truly astounded that we raised over £1,000,000 for @bowelbabefund and @cr uk through @inthestyle!

“All from sales of the ITS x Dame Deborah James collection and ‘Rebellious Hope’ T-shirts that I designed in collaboration with @inthestyle. (One million, that’s insane!)

“Yesterday, I received a pleasant visit from @inthestyle’s founder @fr15by and his partner @thejamiecorbett, who presented me with this generous check. To celebrate, we had a small toast.” I just can’t believe it!

“It’s funny because when @inthestyle released the first t-shirt, we both remarked how incredible £50,000 raised would be, so for me to still be here and see that it’s surpassed £1,000,000 is simply incredible!

“Rebellious Hope is what has carried me through the past few years, and it is what keeps me going now!

“Seeing all of your messages, tags, and support has been incredible, and I am so thankful that we were able to accomplish this together! Thank you to everyone.”

Dame Deborah, a former assistant principal who was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2016, has kept her more than 900,000 Instagram followers informed of her treatments.

She announced last month that she had written a new book titled How To Live When You Could Be Dead, which details what she has learned about maintaining a positive attitude in the face of life’s greatest obstacles.

Even though the book was not scheduled to be released until August, pre-orders propelled it to the top of the Amazon bestseller list, with royalties going to her BowelBabe Fund.

Duke of Cambridge also presented her with a dame hood at her home for her “tireless campaigning” efforts.

The president-elect pleads for unity as Robert Fico recovers from the shooting

According to officials, Slovakian prime minister Robert Fico is in a stable condition but is "not yet out of the woods." The country's president-elect pleaded for unity after a shooting exposed the country's profound political divisions in recent months.
