We’ve heard four new updates for Apple Watch X.

  1. Apple’s Plans for Upcoming Apple Watch Releases: Series 9 and Watch X
  2. Innovative Design Modifications: Thinner Casing and MicroLED Display
  3. Enhanced Functionality: Magnetic Fasteners and New Health Monitoring in Watch X

Apple will release the Apple Watch Series 9 with minor enhancements next month, but a 10th-anniversary model is in the works and may be worth the wait.

The ‘Watch X’ will debut in 2024 or 2025, with four significant design modifications, according to tech experts.

Apple Watch X’s case could be thinner if the side securing mechanisms were replaced with magnets for attaching bands.

The upcoming wearable is also rumored to feature a microLED display for richer colors and greater clarity than the current OLED screens, as well as new blood pressure monitoring technology.

Apple released its first Watch in 2015 and has since introduced a new model annually. However, according to technology expert Mark Gurman, the tech behemoth may slow down because the wearable is losing popularity due to lackluster updates.

As of February, the Series 7 Apple Watch has been the best-selling smartwatch in the globe.

In addition, according to a report by Strategy Analytics, the tech titan sold more timepieces in 2020 than the Swiss watch industry did in 2019.

However, Apple has released a new Watch every year, albeit with only minor enhancements, and has largely maintained the same design since Series 4 in 2018.

The 2022 Ultra model did depart from the norm.

The Ultra is designed for extreme athletes and can withstand temperatures between 0 and 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

The wearable is priced at $799, which is double the price of the Apple Watch Series 8 introduced at the same September event.

Apple is attempting to placate average customers with a redesigned Watch; pricing information has not been disclosed.

An entirely novel design

Apple is reportedly reducing the casing of the Watch X to make it feel more like a wristwatch and less like a miniature tablet.

The Series 8 is 10.7 millimeters thick, while the Ultra measures 14.4 millimeters.

Much of the thickness is due to the side-locking mechanisms used to affix bands, but Gurman believes Apple will abandon this antiquated design in favor of magnets.

Your preferred Apple Watch band will not be compatible with the Apple Watch 10th anniversary edition.

Other rumors indicate that the thinner casing will necessitate a redesign of the battery layout.

A novel exhibit

All models and sizes feature a Flexible OLED display, most likely manufactured by LG Display.

The Watch X would be the first to feature a microLED display with superior image quality to its OLED display.

However, microLED displays are more expensive and could increase the Apple Watch’s price.

The current Series 8 is available for $399.

Magnetic fasteners

Apple Watch has become a fashion accessory, allowing customers to interchange bands to match their attire or mood.

Users depress the band release button and slide the band across to swap bands.

Magnets would be utilized to affix the band to the Watch X.

New health monitoring characteristic

The Apple Watch also altered how people viewed their health by allowing them to monitor their sleep, breathing, and physical activity in real-time.

On Apple Watch Series 8, users can monitor blood oxygen, heart rate, time asleep, respiratory rate, and wrist temperature.

However, Gurman anticipates that consumers will be able to monitor their blood pressure.

High blood pressure lowers artery flexibility, limiting blood and oxygen flow to the heart and causing heart disease.

In addition, decreased blood flow to the heart can produce angina or chest pain.
