Following the airstrikes, one individual has been injured and several structures have been damaged. One Kyiv resident characterized the ordeal as a “frightening experience”.

According to Ukraine’s air force, Russia launched more than 30 drones overnight against the country’s capital.

The military destroyed 26 out of 33 drones, according to the Ukrainian air force, resulting in about two hours of falling debris in Kyiv and the adjacent area.

During the assault, one victim was injured.

Russian shelling reportedly killed two foreign relief workers in eastern Ukraine on Sunday, when a van carrying a team of four working for the Ukrainian non-profit organization Road to Relief was struck.

The organization stated on Instagram that the volunteers were trapped inside the van when it overturned and took fire after being struck near the town of Chasiv Yar.

“Terrorising experience”

At least five explosions were reported by witnesses across the city of Kyiv, which were caused by air defenses.

Images captured a plume of smoke rising between buildings at the site.

As the drones pulverized the windows in her building and the jars on her windowsill, Liudmyla, a resident, said, “It was a terrifying experience that I cannot adequately describe.”

The majority of the debris fell on open ground, causing damage to cars, trolleybus power lines, and roads, according to Serhiy Popko, chief of the military administration for the city of Kyiv, via the social messaging app Telegram.

Regional governor Ruslan Kravchenko claimed nocturnal attacks on an undisclosed infrastructure facility and eight homes on social media.

During its 18-month campaign, Moscow has often bombed civilian-heavy cities distant from the eastern and southern war lines.

Kryvyi Rih, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s birthplace, was attacked Friday, injuring 73 people and killing one police officer.

Ukrainian officials reported that 17 persons were killed in an attack in the eastern city of Kostiantynivka on Wednesday.
