Nicola Sturgeon asserts a “undisputable mandate” for a second independence vote in Scotland.

The EU has initiated legal procedures against the United Kingdom following the publication of legislation that would supersede portions of the Northern Ireland Protocol.

Vice-President of the European Commission Maros Sefcovic stated that the plan to rip up the agreement governing Northern Ireland’s post-Brexit commercial arrangements was illegal.

The commission stated that Brussels will resume legal proceedings against the United Kingdom, which it postponed in September for breaching the agreed-upon 2020 EU exit deal.

Mr. Sefcovic remarked: “There is no legal or political justification for unilaterally amending a global agreement.

“This is forbidden. The UK bill is severely detrimental to the EU and UK’s mutual trust and respect.

It has produced profound uncertainty and throws a shadow on international cooperation.
