Inspired by the Monsters of the Deep exhibit at the neighboring National Maritime Museum Cornwall, this cocktail pays homage to seafaring legends.

50ml aged golden rum

20ml Velvel falernum
20ml lychee syrup – we use Monion
50ml pineapple juice
25ml fresh grapefruit juice
3 dashes cherry bitters

To garnish
1 pineapple leaf
1 slice dehydrated citrus
1 pickled chilli pepper

Combine all ingredients in an ice-filled shaker, then mix and fine-strain into a rocks glass. Add crushed ice and garnish with the pineapple leaf, dehydrated citrus slice, and pickled chili, then serve.

Police have cleared an encampment at the University of Virginia (UVA) and arrested at least twenty-five pro-Palestinian demonstrators, as campuses across the United States prepare for additional unrest during commencement ceremonies.  At UVA's campus in Charlottesville, where demonstrations had been predominantly nonviolent until Saturday morning, when footage captured police officers in riot gear circling an encampment on the lawn, cuffing some protesters with zip ties, and allegedly spraying chemical spray, tensions escalated.

Tens of thousands rally for hostage deal during Gaza ceasefire talks

Tens of thousands of Israelis gathered late into the night in anticipation of further armistice negotiations and to demand an agreement to return hostages. Some Tel Aviv protesters chanted "Life, not war," and some accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of seeking to prolong the Gaza conflict. It occurred on Saturday when a Hamas delegation convened with mediators in Egypt.
