NHS facilities have been impacted by a shortage of salbutamol liquid, which is used to sustain patients who are lifeless without medical intervention, throughout the United Kingdom.

The alert stated that manufacturing issues and medical systems scrambling for remaining stock have contributed to life-saving medication supply problems.
Other drugs that function similarly are still accessible; however, authorities caution that these supplies are insufficient to meet the surge in demand, as stated in the alert.
Salbutamol is a short-term analgesic medication employed to facilitate airway clearance and reduce inflammation in patients, as stated by the Asthma and Lung UK charity.
The shortage exclusively affects the liquid formulation of the medication, marketed under Ventolin and utilized in nebulizers.
Salbutamol inhalers, commonly available in blue, are not impacted when utilized by individuals with respiratory conditions, including asthma, to alleviate dyspnea.
