A man has been charged with using menacing behaviour in response to the throwing of objects at Nigel Farage, the leader of the Reform UK party.

On Tuesday, Mr Farage was campaigning in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, when the incident occurred while he was riding an open-top bus.

According to law enforcement, Josh Greally, 28, has been accused of employing abusive, insulting, and threatening language and actions to incite terror.

He has been granted parole and is scheduled to appear at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on June 26.

A man in a red hoodie was observed ranting from a construction area. He then reached into a bucket and threw two objects, both of which missed.

Mr Farage denounced the incident as “pretty nasty” during his campaign in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.

The “intimidation” of electoral candidates has been condemned by politicians from other parties.

Intimidation has no place in our politics,” stated Stephanie Peacock, Labour’s parliamentary candidate for Barnsley South. She stated, “I condemn the violence that was observed in Barnsley town centre.”

Home Secretary James Cleverly declared that “intimidation and violence” had no place in our politics, and that “these actions should be condemned by everyone.

Mr Farage declared that he would not be intimidated or intimidated by those who wish to halt his election campaign in the wake of the incident.

He further stated on X, “That is an impossible scenario.”

The most recent incident occurred shortly after Victoria Thomas Bowen, 25, was charged with assault for pouring a milkshake over the Clacton-on-Sea candidate last week.

On July 2, she is scheduled to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on charges of criminal damage and assault by striking.

Additionally, during a campaign walkabout in Newcastle in 2019, Mr Farage was pelted with a milkshake.
