- Iran reportedly supplies Russia with 200 ballistic missiles
- CIA warns of escalated Iran-Russia defense cooperation
- Drone strikes continue across Ukraine, with 67 deployed overnight
Iran has previously supplied Vladimir Putin’s army with large supplies of attack drones, artillery rounds, and ammunition.
Iran is believed to have shipped more than 200 ballistic missiles to Russia, a move that security officials describe as a “dramatic escalation” of the country’s defense cooperation with Moscow.
A Russian ship brought the short-range Fatah-360 missiles from Tehran to a port in the Caspian Sea, according to a Ukrainian source.
Ukraine and its Western allies have long suspected that Iran was arming Russia with ballistic missiles.
So far, it has provided Vladimir Putin’s military with a considerable number of attack drones, as well as artillery shells and ammunition.
However, addressing an event in London, CIA director Bill Burns stated that if Iran ships ballistic missiles, the nature of the defense alliance would change dramatically.
Mr Burns also emphasized how the Russia-Ukraine conflict exemplifies the use of technology on the battlefield.
He and his UK equivalent, MI6 chief Sir Richard Moore, accused Russia of a “reckless campaign of sabotage” at a historic joint appearance on Saturday.
Meanwhile, military analyst Sean Bell commented on the claimed missile delivery: “It will mean Russia’s limited supply of its Iskander missiles can now be focused on long-range targets, which is very concerning.”
He went further: “We [also] understand that Russian soldiers have been in Iran doing training for the last few weeks.”

Meanwhile, across Ukraine, scores more drones were shot down overnight.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 67 drones were deployed in 11 districts, including Kyiv.
According to reports, fifty-eight of them were shot down using electronic weapons systems.

On Saturday, the fragments of a kamikaze drone were spotted outside the Ukrainian parliament in central Kyiv.
However, the Ukrainian parliamentary news service said that there were no casualties or damage to the structure.
An artillery bombardment on the eastern city of Kostiantynivka killed three persons and injured three more.
According to Donetsk Region Governor Vadym Filashkin, the attack also caused damage to a high-rise structure and local electricity lines.
It followed a week of long-range Russian attacks, including a missile strike on a military academy and hospital in Poltava that killed 55 people and injured 328 more.
Funerals for some of the victims were held in the city on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Kyiv continued to unleash its assaults on Russia.
Governor Aleksandr Gusev of Voronezh, Russia, reported that a drone strike ignited a fire and detonated “explosive objects” on Saturday.
