- Community Mourns Loss of “Wonderful” and “Hardworking” Family
- Ongoing Investigation and Support for the Affected
The police are attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatalities but are not seeking anyone else about the investigation.
Two adults and two children whose bodies were discovered in a West London flat have been identified by police.
Police discovered Michal Wlodarczyk, 39, Monika Wlodarczyk, 35, Maja Wlodarczyk, 11, and Dawid Wlodarczyk, 3, at a home in Bedfont, Hounslow, at approximately 3.15 p.m. on Friday, after concerns were voiced for their welfare.
Police believe that Mr. and Mrs. Wlodarczyk are the parents of the two children.
Their next of kin have been notified, and family liaison officers are assisting them.
The police are attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatalities but are not seeking anyone else about the investigation.
Special postmortem examinations will be conducted, according to a spokesperson.
A woman whose daughter was in Maja’s class at Southville Primary School stated that they were a “wonderful family” before the victims were identified.
Her daughter, who was acquainted with Maja, had been attempting to reach her since Tuesday but had not received a reply to her messages.
The woman speculated that the family may have traveled to Mallorca because Mr. Wlodarczyk’s 40th birthday celebration was scheduled there.
“We’re praying it’s not them,” she wept.
She added that the father was a builder and the mother was a cleaner at a hotel in Heathrow, describing the family as “really nice, normal, and very hardworking.”
She stated, “They are a truly wonderful family.”
Naura Hooper, 46, a witness, said she took her daughters out with Maja.
She stated, “Maja was a pleasant, intelligent, and well-liked girl, and her family was pleased whenever I met them.”
A woman who left flowers at the site in Hounslow stated that the family who resided there were Eastern European and “kept to themselves.”
Michelle Cunningham, 49, who resides nearby, said, “After hearing the news, I decided to come and lay flowers. It’s so tragic.
“They were a family from Eastern Europe who kept to themselves. I occasionally observed the individual outside his home.
I only learned of their identities and what transpired last night.
After returning home from work on Friday, an unidentified neighbour witnessed police officers leave the property at 11 p.m.
“I saw four police officers who appeared distressed and crying, so I knew something terrible had occurred,” he said.
The investigation is being conducted by Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley, who stated, “I would like to reassure the community that specialist detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic incident, and we will provide further updates as soon as they are available.”
Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by the recent events.
Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson, the policing commander in West London, stated at the scene: “I believe we know who they are – four members of the same family – but urgent inquiries are ongoing to locate and notify their next of kin, so it would be inappropriate for me to identify them at this time.
The arrangements for postmortem examinations are currently being made.
