Two 16-year-olds were discovered with stab wounds in what cops described as “senseless” attacks.

Two boys were fatally stabbed in southeast London, leading to the arrest of a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of murder.

The victims, previously identified as Charlie Bartolo and Kearne Solanke, were discovered with stab wounds on Saturday at approximately 5.10 p.m. in Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead, and Sewell Road, Abbey Wood.

At each place when officers, London Ambulance, and air ambulance personnel responded, they discovered a 16-year-old male with stab wounds.

Both were subsequently declared deceased.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn of the Metropolitan Police Department’s Specialist Crime Command stated: “This is a positive development in an investigation that is complex and progressing quickly. The relatives of Charlie and Kearne have been informed.

“Our investigation is ongoing, and we continue to seek the public’s assistance as we piece together what transpired on Saturday evening.

Previously, Detective Superintendent Richard McDonagh referred to the murders as “senseless.”

Police are particularly interested in locating a dark-colored SUV “with distinctive silver roof bars” spotted in the region in the days preceding the murders.
