Blundell’s School: Teenager accused with attempted murder and GBH with intent after Tiverton school assaults.

Two Devon independent school adolescent lads are hospitalised, one in critical condition and the other in stable but severe condition.

A Devon school has charged a 16-year-old student in connection with three alleged assaults.

On Friday, two adolescents and an adult were injured at Blundell’s School in Tiverton.

A suspect who cannot be identified for legal reasons will be detained to appear in court on Monday morning charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of GBH with intent, according to a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson.

Friday, June 9, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers were dispatched to a school after receiving reports of a serious assault.

The two adolescents are pupils at the independent school and are currently hospitalized.

Officers reported that one of the boys is in critical condition and the other is in stable but severe condition.

Officers continue to provide support to their families, who remain with them.

The injured man is a member of the school’s personnel and was released from the hospital on Friday.

Commander Superintendent Toby Davies stated, “Our thoughts continue to be with the injured boys and their families during this difficult time.”

“My officers continue to support them and the educational community as a whole.

A scene guard will stay at the school all day as we investigate this event.

Officers are eager to remind the public not to speculate about the victims’ or suspects’ identities.

Any suspect under the age of 18 is prohibited by law from being identified.

In a letter to parents and guardians, principal Bart Wielenga stated that the school is “confident” that this incident was an isolated occurrence and that there is “no ongoing threat or concern.”

Mr. Wielenga stated that assistance is available to students following the incident.

The combined school is priced at £41,325 per year for senior boarders and over £28,000 per year for students in grades seven and eight.
