The musician believes that his charity activities will inspire others to assist Ukrainian families who have relocated to the United Kingdom.

Sir Rod Stewart disclosed that he rented and furnished a home for a family of seven Ukrainian refugees after feeling heartbroken while watching the war against Russia unfold in the news.

Sir Rod remarked to the Daily Mirror, “Words could not adequately explain what we were witnessing.”

“Bombardment of innocent youngsters, as well as hospitals and parks. We, like everyone else, were utterly hysterical. I wish that onto no one. This is an act of absolute evil.”

The newspaper reports that Sir Rod is now supporting the Ukrainian couple Rostylsav and Olena and their five children aged between 17 and 2, by paying the rent and utility bills for their Berkshire home for at least a year.

Sir Rod described the family, who arrived in the United Kingdom without speaking English, as “beautiful… extremely courteous” and “quite thankful.”

The celebrity stated that he desired to use his “power” as a knight to assist others.

“I normally keep my humanitarian work under wraps and simply do it. But I reasoned, “I am a knight, and I have been knighted for the accomplishments I’ve made in my life and the charity work I’ve done over the years.”

“But that was in the past; I want to be seen doing something at the moment. As a knight, I ought to use my authority to benefit others.

“I am confident that if there are others who observe what I am doing, they will do the same.”

In addition, the singer hired three trucks stocked with goods for refugees and had them driven to Ukraine, before using the same trucks to carry sixteen individuals back to safety in Berlin.

Later, he was put in touch with Rostyslav and his family, along with others whom he subsequently hired.

In a statement, Olena and Rostyslav said: “Thank you very much to Sir Rod Stewart, Warren Cady, his parents, and his family for their generosity and genuineness. Thanks to their support and Warren’s efforts, our children are now safe and able to attend school normally.”

Next month, Sir Rod will perform in arenas in Nottingham, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Belfast, London, Birmingham, and Manchester.

According to The Mirror, he intends to address the war in Ukraine during the tour, devoting performances to the country and its people.
