Yazmin Oukhellou of The Only Way Is Essex recalls “snapping” her arm to escape herself following a 70ft cliff drop vehicle disaster that killed her lover Jake McLean.
Before the catastrophe, the 28-year-old had unexpectedly traveled to Turkey to reconnect with her on-and-off partner McLean, 33, and “everything was wonderful.”
She told the Sun, “It looked like we were falling for an eternity.” It felt as if I were in a washing machine, whirling round and round.” Eventually, everything ceased, and my right arm became jammed.
“The vehicle was inverted. It had an open sunroof, and my right arm was wedged between my back and the back of the car’s top. I attempted to honk the horn with my foot but was unsuccessful.”
Lauren Goodger pays tribute to her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean, who was killed in a car accident in Turkey. The reality star then disclosed that she damaged an artery in her arm during the accident.
She stated, “I could feel my entire arm covered in blood.” It was as if I were in a hot bath, there was so much surrounding me. Simultaneously, I attempted to awaken Jake. I did not want to accept the possibility that he was dead.
Therefore, I reasoned, ‘Right, I can either lay there and bleed to death, or I can break my arm in an attempt to save us. I had no other option.
“Consequently, I broke my arm due to pure excitement and panic. I exited the vehicle while sort of holding my left arm together with my left hand. I went to the top of the bank, screamed for assistance, and then suddenly saw a flashlight.”
Oukhellou reported that a man walking his dog went up to her, removed his shirt, and wrapped it over her arm.
“I climbed back down and attempted to check his pulse, but I was unable to detect it before the ambulance arrived.
They were assisting me. They responded to my request for assistance with, “We only need to transport him to another hospital.”

I believe they were aware, yet I still find it hard to believe. She stated, “I still feel like I’m waiting to wake up from a nightmare, but it never occurs.”
Oukhellou, who made her Towie debut in 2017, explained that she had spent the night with pals at a bar in the resort town of Bodrum before the couple decided to drive to a friend’s property “high in the mountains.”
She further explained that she had fallen asleep in the automobile, and when she awoke, it was heading off the cliff.
“Now I realize that if I hadn’t been asleep, I probably wouldn’t have survived, as the doctor said that my body was more relaxed when I was asleep.”
Because I severed an artery and a nerve, I bled profusely. The medics termed me an angel, a miracle because this is a notorious location where no one has ever lived. Now I’m wondering how the hell my partner died and I survived. It has made me view life in a whole different light.”
She stated that she will require counseling “for a while” because it will be with her “forever.”
