A Nazi flag was confiscated by police after a truck crashed into White House security barriers.
A law enforcement official told NBC News that the driver made threatening statements about the White House at the site of his arrest.
The official stated, “I do not believe there is a place for a Nazi flag or his statements.”

Anthony Guglielmo, a spokesperson for the US Secret Service, stated that an initial investigation revealed that the driver “may have intentionally struck the security barriers at Lafayette Square” in Washington, DC.
He added that no Secret Service or White House personnel were injured.
A social media video depicted a U-Haul vehicle crashing into the barriers from a short distance.
According to the individual who posted the video, this was the second time the vehicle had collided with the barriers.
After the collision, a remote-controlled robot opened the truck’s rear doors, revealing a trolley but no other discernible equipment.
Mr. Guglielmia tweeted, “Charges will be filed by the United States Park Police, with investigative support from the #SecretService.”
The nearby Hay Adams hotel was evacuated at the Secret Service’s request.
