Tuesday morning, several pupils complained that their tongues and throats were burning, and at least one was sent to the hospital for treatment.

Juneau, the state capital of Alaska, is conducting an investigation, but officials do not believe “anything unlawful” occurred.

Superintendent Bridget Weiss stated, “We want a comprehensive investigation of what happened and how it occurred, and they are skilled investigators.”

The personnel at Sit Eeti Shaanax Glacier Valley Elementary School examined the container’s label after receiving complaints from students about the milk’s flavor.

“Staff promptly instructed children to cease consumption and removed the drug,” the school district said in a statement.

A school official phoned poison control and notified parents promptly, according to the statement.

All food, including milk from a dispenser, was supplied by NANA Management Services and served by workers.

The summer day camp is for children ages five to twelve.

It was revealed that the clear plastic bag of milk placed in a dispenser for the youngsters was a floor sealant with a similar appearance.

According to Supt. Weiss, the two bags are typically stored in cardboard boxes at an off-campus storage facility and were mysteriously transported on the same pallet.

She stated, “We don’t know how that happened, but they were all placed on the same pallet.”

We assumed that the delivered pallet included milk because that is what we believed was being delivered.

The sealer had no odor or chemical smell, but school regulations stipulate that any chemical utilized must provide a low ingestion risk.

The school’s remaining sealant was removed and stored in hazardous storage.

NANA Management Services stated in a statement that it promptly dispatched a safety team to the state capital upon learning of the event.

We are doing a thorough investigation to ascertain exactly what occurred and to suggest potential safety measures,” the business stated.
