Armed cops responded to the residence in Friskney, near Skegness, after receiving a call from a concerned citizen.
A lady was detained after two 10-year-old boys sustained stab wounds after an 11-hour standoff with police at a Lincolnshire residence.
Tuesday at 1.49 p.m., armed officers were dispatched to the residence in Friskney, near Skegness.
11 hours later, around 1 am on Wednesday, a 39-year-old woman was arrested after police forcibly entered the residence following discussions.
Two 10-year-old boys, according to the police, were stabbed during the altercation.
Both were sent to the hospital, although neither is believed to have had life-threatening injuries.
The female suspect was detained on accusations of attempted murder.
The Lincolnshire Police Department stated: “We responded to a residence in Friskney after receiving a call about a safety issue. Our officers responded and communicated with the resident.
“Yesterday, beginning at 4.30 p.m., specially-trained officers negotiated with a woman inside the residence for several hours.
“The property was entered by force shortly before 1 a.m. this morning.
“Two 10-year-old boys sustained stab wounds during the incident.
Both were sent to the hospital, although neither is believed to have had life-threatening injuries.
Following the event, a reference to the Independent Office of Police Conduct was required.
The road was stopped for several hours while authorities were at the scene, however, police reported that the incident posed no threat to local homes.
