Princess Charlotte made a ‘pinky promise’ to tennis player Lucy Shuker ahead of the Wimbledon final, indicating a chemistry between the two.
At the famous athletic event, the nine-year-old Princess accompanied the Princess of Wales, 42, to witness Carlos Alcaraz face Novak Djokovic in the Grand Slam at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London.
Before taking their seats in the Royal Box, the mother-daughter combo met with female tennis stars, each presenting Kate with a bouquet.
Charlotte was photographed having a lively discussion with 44-year-old Paralympic medalist Lucy Shuker.
Following their heated talk, the Prince and Princess of Wales’s daughter made a ‘pinky pledge’ to the tennis player by linking their little fingers.
Charlotte appeared upbeat as she greeted Lucy, who has represented Great Britain at four consecutive Paralympic Games.
The 44-year-old later uploaded a photo of herself with Charlotte on Instagram with the caption ‘Pinky promise’.
Lucy added a tennis emoji after the caption, implying that they had agreed to play a round of the sport together.
After greeting Lucy, the Princess seemed similarly happy to meet Emma Raducanu, a 21-year-old tennis star.
The daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales, dressed in a £70 Guess Polka Dot dress, was overjoyed to see the tennis star and was snapped smiling from ear to ear in her presence.
The mother and daughter then met with the ‘Work at Wimbledon’ programme, which connects young people from diverse backgrounds with jobs at the Championships.
They were without Prince George, 10, which could indicate that he will accompany his father to the Euros final in Berlin this evening.
A-listers Julia Roberts and Tom Cruise, a friend of the royals, were also in the box, as was Benedict Cumberbatch, Prince William’s Eton classmate, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, and tennis legend Andre Agassi.
Lord Frederick Windsor, Prince William’s second cousin, and his wife Sophie Winkleman joined Kate and Charlotte in the box.
The pair is close to the Wales family, as their children previously attended the same school as Charlotte and George.
The Princess, who chose a £1295 bespoke dress from Safiyaa, is an avid tennis enthusiast and has served as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club since 2016.
The Princess looked effortlessly stylish, adding a £122 Milly Nude leather bag from LK Bennett, which she has previously worn.
Kate boosted her height by wearing Camilla Elphick slingback pimps and accessorizing with the Halycon Days Salamander Torque Aquamarine & Gold Bangle.

She usually delivers the trophy to the Ladies Singles champion, but she attended the competition on the final day this year.

Both chuckled as they interacted with other attendees, including Sebastian Coe, President of the International Association of Athletics Federations, who was seen laughing with an energetic Carole.
