The remark was made by the Prince of Wales upon his arrival at a London Air Ambulance Service gala.
Prince William has made his first reference to the King’s cancer diagnosis since Buckingham Palace announced it on Monday.
Upon arriving at a gala in central London in support of the London Air Ambulance Service, the Prince of Wales greeted the crowds outside the venue with a wave.
He expressed sincere gratitude for all the kind messages received.
Prince William resumed his royal duties on Wednesday by presiding over an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle in support of the monarch.
Buckingham Palace released a statement on Monday, informing the public of the King’s cancer diagnosis.
Harry Visits, King Appears Relaxed
Like other senior royals, Prince Harry was personally informed of the diagnosis by the King. He flew from California without delay, spending about 45 minutes at Clarence House on Tuesday before flying back on Wednesday.
That day, the King returned to Sandringham looking comfortable after his first public appearance since the announcement.

The Prime Minister’s weekly private meeting with him may be in person or via phone.
With his father undergoing treatment, William is expected to take on more public duties.
The gala dinner is part of the London’s Air Ambulance Charity’s Up Against Time appeal, which aims to raise £15 million to replace the service’s helicopter fleet by autumn.
Before giving a short speech, William, who previously worked as an air ambulance pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance, will meet with crew members, former patients, and supporters at the event.
