Peru jails TikTok star Modou Adams for 2.9kg cocaine smuggling.

A fine and prison term were imposed on the 25-year-old after narcotics were discovered in his suitcase at an airport in Peru. He entered a guilty plea to the allegation of drug trafficking.

A British TikTok celebrity was sentenced to over six years in prison after being apprehended attempting to smuggle narcotics into the country.

A court in Peru sentenced Modou Adams to six years and eight months subsequent to his apprehension and search at Jorge Chavez International Airport on September 30.

A suitcase containing approximately 2.9 kilogrammes of cocaine was discovered concealed within it. The suitcase had been registered for Paris prior to its transfer to London.

Reportedly, the value of the narcotics was approximately £300,000.

In addition to the £1,500 fine, the 25-year-old pleaded guilty to the narcotic trafficking charge.

After his sentencing, the Supreme Court of Peru shared an altered image of the online influencer incarcerated on social media.
