- Tragic car accident in North Wales
- Harvey remembered fondly
- Police investigating collision
Harvey, one of four individuals discovered deceased in an overturned vehicle after an urgent police search, was identified as “quirky” and “charismatic” by Crystal Owen. Crystal Owen has paid homage to her son.
In remembrance of her son, the mother of one of the boys who perished in a car accident in North Wales advised other parents to “cling to your loved ones.”
On Tuesday in Snowdonia (Eryri), seventeen-year-old Harvey Owen was discovered in a silver Ford Fiesta with sixteen to eighteen-year-old companions Wilf Fitchett, Jevon Hirst, and Hugo Morris.
An urgent police search was initiated after they were reported missing from an overnight camping excursion; they were discovered in an overturned vehicle that was partially submerged in water off the A4085 in Garreg, near Tremadog.
Crystal Owen, Harvey’s mother, described that her son will forever be 17 years old as “unbearable to think” and “even more difficult to accept.”
“Please cling to your loved ones tightly”
She further stated that while there is no such thing as a suitable time to lose a child. This one is especially heartbreaking because he was flourishing and had everything to live for.
Please cling to your loved ones tightly; life is so brief and ruthless that even minor concerns are inconsequential.
My beautiful boy has died, and I cannot imagine never holding him or expressing my love for him again.

North Wales Police Superintendent Owain Llewellyn stated earlier this week that the collision seemed a “tragic accident.” However, the cause of the vehicle’s deviant behavior is still under investigation.
In a Wednesday update, he stated that members of the North West Underwater Search Team were assisting officers. The road would remain closed in the interim.
Crystal stated that Harvey “idolised” his older sister Yasmin as a child. Additionally, he bequeathed two younger sisters, Sophia and Olivia, whom he considered “never too old” to embrace.
“A perpetual son of whom we may be proud”
Crystal said Harvey was a favorite from birth. He fulfilled her and was Yasmin’s dream sibling.
“Laid-back, charismatic, and mischievous, he was a child ahead of his time who constantly challenged conventions and was inventive and amusing. A youngster who favoured being active and outdoors.”
In addition to being “so dopey at times” and “quirky, a trendsetter, loving, pure, and hilarious,” Crystal described him as “too lovable” to harbor anger for an extended period.
Crystal stated that he aspired to eventually establish his café after finding solace in bread preparation.
Crystal stated, “He never incited malice, caused no harm, wronged no one. He was and will always be a son of whom we can be eternally grateful.”
Harvey was impeccable from the moment he entered the world until he left.
