West Midlands Police stated that a 26-year-old woman sustained injuries in the same incident and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
After the death of a three-week-old infant boy in Birmingham, a 29-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of murder.
West Midlands Police reported that officers were dispatched to Dovey Road in Sparkhill just after 3:40 a.m. and discovered an infant not breathing.

He was transported to the hospital but died shortly thereafter.
The same event resulted in injuries to a 26-year-old woman, who was sent to the hospital for treatment, according to the police.
It is not believed that her injuries are life-threatening.
Inspector Neil Kirkpatrick stated, “This is a tragic incident, and our prayers are with everyone concerned.
In the next few days, additional cops will be stationed in the area to provide comfort.
Nobody else is being sought by detectives about this inquiry.
