Even though the body was discovered in Essex, Scotland Yard is leading the investigation because it is suspected the guy died in Greater London.

Three men have been arrested following the discovery of a man’s body in Essex woodland.

Thursday evening in north London, it is suspected that a man in his 40s and a lady in her 30s were “taken without their will in a car,” according to Scotland Yard.

Even though the body was discovered in Essex, the Met Police has assumed responsibility for the investigation because it is suspected the guy died in Greater London.

Officers report that the woman has been located and is “physically unhurt.” She and he were familiar with one another.

Saturday before noon, the body was discovered close to Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate in Loughton.

His death is being investigated as suspicious, according to Essex Police.

Friday, just before 2:00 p.m., Scotland Yard was notified that a man and a woman were missing from an Enfield house and had not been seen since the previous evening.

“Detectives believe the guy reported missing is the individual discovered in Loughton,” the Metropolitan Police Department stated in a statement.

In due time, a postmortem examination and official identification will take place.

Three individuals were apprehended in Kent and are currently in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Kate Kieran from the Met’s Specialist Crime Directorate stated, “This is a very complex and fast-moving investigation involving several units from the Met as well as the crucial assistance of our friends from Essex Police.”

While the investigation is still in its infancy, a crucial line of inquiry is that the man and lady were abducted in a vehicle on Thursday evening.

Ms. Kieran urges anyone who was in Enfield’s Ebony Crescent on Thursday evening and may have witnessed something to contact her.

The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate’s Detective Superintendent Rob Kirby stated, “The Metropolitan Police will now take the lead on this investigation, but we will continue to assist them.”
