The discovery of new oil and gas is a death sentence for people around the world. You can throw us in jail, but that will not diminish our fury at a government that throws millions of people under the bus.

“We are not requesting additional oil; we are demanding it.

This government is utilizing the current economic crisis to push through additional austerity measures and new oil licenses. Both are the death penalty. If this government cared about the people, they would insulate homes, invest in affordable public transportation, and vastly expand renewable energy.”

On Tuesday morning, Just Stop Oil protestors targeted the downtown London offices of a climate-skeptic research group by pouring orange paint on the building’s exterior.

They claimed to be targeting the HQ Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF), which was established by former Conservative chancellor Nigel Lawson to battle what it perceives to be detrimental climate policies.
