A 44-year-old inhabitant of the area has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to the Metropolitan Police.
A murder investigation has been initiated following the death of a man at a treatment facility. For adults with mental health and substance misuse concerns.
The 60-year-old died soon before midnight on Monday. At the Imperial Lodge care facility in Hayes, west London, after being assaulted.
The individual, a resident of the facility, was treated by paramedics but pronounced dead at the site.
A 44-year-old inhabitant of the area has been arrested on suspicion of murder, according to the Metropolitan Police.
A representative of the force stated: “Monday, January 2, at approximately 11:50 p.m. the police were notified of an attack at an adult care home on Lansbury Drive in Hayes.
“Officers and the London Ambulance Service were present. Despite the rescue services’ best efforts, a 60-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“The deceased’s next of kin have been notified, and an autopsy will be scheduled in due time.
“A 44-year-old male was arrested at the scene. And he is in custody at a west London police station on suspicion of murder.
“Both the deceased and the arrested individual were facility inhabitants.”
A witness reported seeing flashing police vehicles and ambulances in the roadway outside the facility.
The witness, who did not wish to be identified. Stated, “I observed numerous police cars and ambulances with flashing lights but no sirens.”
