The police state they are “not ruling anything out” regarding the cause of the fire and are maintaining an “open mind.”
Five individuals, three of whom were children, have been confirmed deceased, and one remains unaccounted for in connection with a house fire in west London.
All five victims, according to the Metropolitan Police, are presumed to be members of the same family.
Fire Response and Impact
Ten fire engines and 70 firemen were called to a Channel Close home fire in Hounslow just before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday.
A portion of the roof and the ground and first storeys of the mid-terrace house were also destroyed, and neighboring properties were evacuated in an effort to mitigate the damage.
At the time, there were reportedly seven individuals inside the residence.

At the scene, five individuals were pronounced deceased on the first floor of the structure.
A man who escaped the house before rescue personnel arrived was hospitalised with non-critical injuries.
One adult remains missing, according to the police.
The investigation into the fire’s origin is currently underway at 1.30 a.m. on Monday. The London Fire Brigade and Met Police are conducting the investigation.
At the location, Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson stated to the media, “This is an abhorrent incident.” The loss of so many lives will deeply effect all those affected’s communities, families, and friends.
“I am certain that people across the nation will be shocked and saddened by the horrific event that occurred last night,” he continued.
At this time, all eyes will be on us to determine the cause of this tragedy, and we shall collaborate ceaselessly with our fellow members of the London Fire Brigade in order to uncover the answers.

He said that pyrotechnics were not used yesterday for Diwali and could not have caused the deadly fire. He stated, “At this time, both specialized fire officers and our team are conducting an investigation into this matter.”
“I do not rule anything out; I do not believe we are capable of doing so at this time.
As this is new and there is a lot of work to do, we keep an open mind.
The Met Police have reported that no arrests have been made.

Andy Roe, fire commissioner of London, stated, “This is an extremely tragic incident; the entire London Fire Brigade extends its condolences to the bereaved, their loved ones, and all those impacted during this trying time.
“Today, personnel will be present in the local community to provide assistance and counsel as required.
Staff well-being will also be prioritised, and all parties will have access to trauma and counselling services.
