Merseyside Police stated on Wednesday that they have “extraordinary information” but are still seeking the gun that killed Ms. Edwards.
A third individual has been arrested in connection with the Christmas Eve murder of Elle Edwards, who was shot outside a pub in Merseyside.
Merseyside Police say a 31-year-old male is being questioned in connection with the homicide.
Ms. Edwards, 26, is not believed to have been the intended target when shots were fired at 11:50 p.m. outside the Lighthouse Inn in Wallasey Village, Wirral.
A 30-year-old male from Tranmere was earlier arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, while a 19-year-old woman from Rock Ferry was arrested on suspicion of a murder plot.
Both arrests took place on Boxing Day.
The gun that killed Ms. Edwards is still being sought after, according to police who stated on Wednesday that they had “some amazing intelligence” but are still seeking the weapon.
Wednesday, forensic officers remained outside the bar and a cordon was still in place outside.
Deputy Chief Constable Ian Critchley stated that cops “will not rest” until Ms. Edwards’ family receives justice.
“I am still seeking information from anyone who knows who was responsible for drawing the trigger in the most indiscriminate and abhorrent manner,” he told reporters.
“We still want to hear from anyone who knows where the weapon is, anyone who has harbored or has any knowledge whatsoever.”
Chief Constable Serena Kennedy had earlier promised a “relentless” hunt for those guilty of the “heinous and cold-blooded murder” of Ms. Edwards.
On Wednesday, the Merseyside police repeated their call for anyone with information or dashcam, CCTV, or cell phone footage to come forward.
The death of Ms. Edwards has left her family “devastated” and “inconsolable,” police fallen in their call for information.
They were dancing and enjoying a night out when “in an instant” everything changed.
Meg and Jess, who did not provide their last names, told that they mistook the gunshots they heard for fireworks until they spotted their friend laying on the ground.
Jess stated, “We went to get a drink and were at the bar when we heard loud bangs.”
“Instantaneously upon hearing Elle, I said, “It’s not!”
I could see her on the ground with people attempting to assist her.

The sister of Ms. Edwards, who resides in Dubai, had departed the venue earlier.
“It plays on your mind, wondering if she should have gone home,” Meg said, adding, “We were dancing and singing, and she’s now on the floor.”
Additionally, members of the Wirral community have sent their condolences to Ms. Edwards.
Jeanette Williams, the head of the Wirral Borough Council, stated that the “most heartbreaking element” was that she was not the intended target of the attack.
