Merseyside Police stated that they have received nearly 150 pieces of intelligence from the public. Also CCTV footage and incident-related information. Adding that “Elle’s family deserve answers,” imploring the public to continue sharing any information they may have.
The police probing the Christmas Eve murder of Elle Edwards said they have received “vital information” about “individuals and broader tensions.”
Ms. Edwards, a 26-year-old beautician, was shot soon after midnight on December 24. At the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey Village, Wirral.
As she rejoiced with friends, she was shot in the head and subsequently died in the hospital.
It is thought that Ms. Edwards was not the original target, as four men were also injured in the incident.
Merseyside Police have arrested three people in connection with her death. Two have been released on bail while the third has been recalled to prison for further investigation.
The police stated that they had received approximately 150 pieces of intelligence from the public. In addition to CCTV footage and information on individuals and broader issues.
It was stated that several avenues of inquiry are currently being investigated.
Sue Coombs, Detective Superintendent, stated, “I would like to personally thank every person who has already come forward with information.
“This is a fast-paced and intricate inquiry, and each piece of information is a crucial piece of the puzzle. That will help us comprehend what transpired on Christmas Eve at the Lighthouse tavern.
“I would continue to request that individuals come forward and reveal what they know. Even though we have gotten a great deal of information from the public, they must continue to communicate with us.
If they do not choose to communicate with authorities directly. They could contact Crimestoppers, where they can provide information in confidence.
The individuals responsible for Elle’s death do not merit protection, and Elle’s family is entitled to answers.
Three are detained in connection with an assault.
So far, three individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder, including a 31-year-old male from Tranmere, Wirral, and a 19-year-old woman from Rock Ferry, Wirral. Who were both held on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and later released awaiting further investigation.
A 30-year-old man from Tranmere was recalled to prison on parole after being detained on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.

The week before last, Ms. Edward’s sister praised her “best friend, sidekick, and partner in crime.”
Lucy Edwards wrote in an emotional social media post. “I should not be waking up on New Year’s Day without you.”
In a family tribute made last week, the victim’s father, Tim Edwards, stated, “There was no one as beautiful as our Elle May, her beauty, her laugh. And the way she would illuminate a room the moment she walked in.
“She had a manner about her that made you fall in love with her the moment you met her. Everyone who met Elle recognized her uniqueness.”
