Brianna Ghey’s family has paid tribute to their “beloved daughter, grandchild, and younger sister.”
Saturday at 3.13 p.m., the 16-year-old from Birchwood, Warrington, Cheshire, was discovered by members of the public lying injured on a path in Linear Park, Culcheth.
In a statement, her family stated, “She was a larger-than-life personality who left an indelible mark on all who encountered her. Brianna was attractive, clever, and funny. Brianna was courageous, courageous, and one-of-a-kind”.
The loss of her young life has left a tremendous void in our family. And we are certain that her instructors and friends will feel the same.

On Monday, police vans and uniformed officers patrolled the park.
A substantial portion of the park was cordoned off by police tape along several walks. And police dogs were also present.
Flowers were also placed along with words such as “Fly high angel.”
Their school of Brianna was “shocked and horrified”
Emma Mills, the principal of Brianna’s high school, Birchwood Community High School, commented, “We are stunned and utterly grieved by the news of Brianna’s passing.
We will help our students and school community at this difficult time.
Damian Harry, whose daughters knew Brianna, stated that they were in “disbelief” and need painkillers due to stress.
He continued, “Brianna was a beautiful young girl who was highly engaged on social media, exactly like my girls. They were in one other’s worlds.”
Mermaids, a charity that assists trans and gender-diverse children, youth, and families, stated, “Our sympathies are with the family of Brianna Ghey, a transgender youngster who was murdered in Cheshire over the weekend.”
The police are exploring “several inquiries.”
Mike Evans, Detective Chief Superintendent, stated that police are pursuing multiple lines of inquiry and urged anyone with information to come forward.
He stated, “Several investigations about this occurrence are currently underway. And we are doing everything possible to determine the exact circumstances behind this tragedy.
“At the present moment, there is no evidence to imply that Brianna’s death was motivated by hatred.
Local patrols have been increased, and officers will remain in the Culcheth area to reassure locals and answer any concerns they may have.
He added that he would encourage anyone with any information, “no matter how big or tiny,” to contact police, who were eager to examine any dashcam or CCTV footage from the area.
